What's on your summer reading list?

Here's ours.  I'm getting a jump on the season with War and Remembrance, just perfect for a lazy rainy afternoon sitting on the porch of the old Cape Cod cottage I do not possess. In cleaning out the basement this weekend, I also found my forty-year-old copy of Nicholas and Alexandra, which I devoured one junior-high summer. I wonder if it would hold up to rereading?

I am so glad to see "Operation Redwood" on this list! I was lucky enough to meet the author in Salisbury, MD a couple months ago, and I finished this book in just a couple of days.

One on my list is The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest. Definitely not for children.

Roger, I loved reading my grandparents' copy of Nicholas and Alexandra. I reread it about five years ago. Still good stuff, but he updated his information in The Romanovs: The Final Chapter.

I re-read Nicholas and Alexandria myself and it was great. Do you believe in Anastasia?

Thanks for the include on the list. My dad's name was Nicholas (and mine is, of course, Alexandra), so my mother cut the title from the front page of the book to put over a photo of us in my baby album. I've been fascinated with the Romanovs ever since.
